{Good for you} Chocolate Shake

The boys and I love this shake for breakfast, with lunch, or as an afternoon snack. I find it really filling and it can be loaded up with nutritious ingredients. It's nothing novel and I'm sure there are 1000 other similar recipes online, but this is how we've tweaked ours to make it just right! Enjoy.





(Good for you} Chocolate Shake

makes about three servings

3 frozen bananas

2 heaping tablespoons peanut butter (or any alternative)

2-3 heaping tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1.5 cups milk (we have also used coconut milk, or a combination of milk and water)

1 big handful of baby spinach leaves (or any leafy greens you have)

Directions:

Throw it all in the blender and blend together on high setting till very smooth. If you have little ones, they will probably want to press the buttons.

Usually it's a little too thick after my first blending so I add a little water then blend again.

 

Notes: If you don't have frozen bananas, you can throw in some ice

I've also added cinnamon and vanilla extract and it was amazing
